| This Marian Shrine -
Mary, Mother of the Church and Model of All Christians is located on the
grounds of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The church has been here since
1859 and is serving a wide area of the state. The first plans for the shrine started in 1973 and continue today. The shrine was dedicated by Bishop John J. McRaith May 9, 1989. We visited the shrine July 6, 2000 and watched a young lady, "Nellie" as she completed the art work on the ceiling.
